What is 28uild
The biggest Habitat for Humanity Indonesia’s volunteering event, in the celebration of the National Youth Pledge Day! 28UILD has existed for several years, channeling the passion of our nation’s youth to advocate for the rights of low-income families to own decent housing. These efforts are made possible by the shared enthusiasm of the youth fighting for this cause.
The movement is initiated through volunteering actions such as building and painting colorful villages in 4 prominent cities of Indonesia, namely:
– Mauk
– Yogyakarta
– Gresik
– Batam
Who can join Us?
We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, including students and young professionals aged 15-40 in Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and Batam. Volunteers under 18 years old require guardian permission.
When and Where
28UILD 2023 will be held on the 2023 National Youth Pledge Day, October 28th, 2023, in 4 of the Indonesia’s major cities:
Tangerang Yogyakarta, Gresik, and Batam.
Impact
28UILD is expected to raise awareness on the responsibility of the Nation’s Children to fill and maintain independence, through change, work and collaboration.
FAQ
A: Yes, there is a contribution fee to cover the costs of transportation (to the build location), consumption (lunch), t-shirt, E-Certificate, and Build Equipments.

A: Generally, you only need to bring spare change and any personal medicines (If applied). Additional details and requirements will be provided in the Volunteer Guidebook, which you will receive seven days before the event.

A:the participants are required to gather at the meeting points on the specified time, then they will be transported to the build location with the provided transportations. However, specifically for Gresik Build Location, the participants will be directed to the location straight away.
