Bali, December 2008: HFH Indonesia is expanded the program this year in a world tourist destination, Bali Island. The Project in Bali is initiated with a partner Dian Bhuana Lestari (DINARI) Foundation, a micro finance institution which has been operating in District of Jembrana.

Marking the opening of the project, MOU between HFH Indonesia and Dinari was signed on 1st  November 2008 between I Nyoman Wibawa, Excutive Director DINARI Foundation and Tri Budiardjo, National Director HFH Indonesia. On the following day, a groundbreaking with cultural activities was held in Desa Pangkungbuluh, Negara Sub District, Jembrana District. The fifteen-home pilot initiative is run in this village.

The project will focus on providing housing and home improvement through house building and renovation project as well as building community’s meeting place. Volunteers and Global Village program will launch in 2009. HFH Indonesia’ s target  will build one thousand families in Bali to selected clients of DINARI and then later extend the project with a partnership with other MFIs, cooperatives and Banks.
